Backpacker Accommodation Options

Our Abel Tasman backpackers accommodation offers you the traditional budget backpackers accommodation in one of our dorm rooms or for those who prefer, a private cabin.

We also offer a self-contained cottage on land in Anchorage Bay. You will have dinner and socialise on the boat but return to the privacy and comfort of the cottage (bach). Click here for more details on our self-contained cottage accommodation.

Backpacker Dorms

We have 2 x 7 bed dorm rooms on the Cat-a-rac (one in each hull). Each dorm has 1 double bed and 5 single beds. One of our double cabins can be changed into a 4-bed dorm room with the option of either a double bed and two singles or four single beds, all fully made up.

Price = $70.00 NZD per person, which includes BBQ dinner, breakfast and bedding. Towels are available for a small charge. So email us now to enquire about staying in a private cabin.

Please note that Aquapackers is closed on the 24th and 25th of December and New Year's Eve.

Cancellation policy:

As space is in high demand we ask that you please let us know if your plans change as soon as you can, so we can avoid disappointing others, thank you. Cancellation within 48 hours prior to stay - no refund.
Cancellation due to very bad weather (e.g. kayak trip cancelled) - rebook or cancel with no penalty.
We may ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit for group bookings and for peak season Christmas holidays - February.
